Fantastic video. Was easy to program my remote, u made it so easy!

The smooth operator started to work intermittently within about 9 months of purchase. Now after about a further 3 months it seems to have lost its programing as it no longer works. I have yet to find a reliable modern remote.

this key write failed! i was trying to add a key with these instructions. Now my 2011 x5 ignition is not functioning. i get a message saying "ECU upgrade failed. please use special function: istap version repair". any advice on how to get the ignition back working? i had 2 keys with dead batteries, now i have none working and the car wont lock. Please help!

what is inside the button holding the spring in place against it? Otherwise when you wind you're just spinning the button and the around the spring? Do both ends of the spring have a sticky outty bit?

I tried doing this. But It didn’t work on my 2002 Toyota Sequoia. Is there something else to do.

I can confirm this worked on my 2011 Toyota Tacoma PreRunner V6 SR5. The previous owner claims that the truck didn’t have any remotes, but I found it had the receiver behind the glovebox! It should have come with remotes! So I wanted to de-program or delete them from memory. The one “G” smartkey I have still works to start the vehicle manually.

i like this better heres why i have the auttel 808s othat does this anyway but it erases both keys first.. with this module yes another 500 bucks you dont erase the original key it just adds the key which is how it should be
